About Kathleen

Kathleen attended Western Michigan University. She graduated with a major in Interior Design and a Fine Art minor. She served an internship at the Michigan Design Center in Troy and has worked with several local interior designers.

Her love of color and paint is what led her to faux finishing.

She has been the sole proprietor of Faux the Fun of It for eleven years, and continues to update her decorative skills taking new and exciting classes every year. She enjoys all aspects of faux finishing from basic colorwashing to stone and Venetian plasters.

The vast majority of the materials she uses are water based and low-odor.
